18.5 Weeks!

We had our 8/09 appt with Cassie. I had met her once before, but had forgotten how much I liked her. Jack had not met her yet and really liked her too. So we are relieved that we are comfortable with all the midwives since it is whoever's on call that will attend the birth of our next Bundle!

Cassie found the Baby's heartbeat straight away and said he/she was moving all around! CUTE! I love the understanding and kind words of a midwife...she said, 'most women are starting to feel better and have more energy around this time, but you might not notice much improvement taking care of Nickolas all day'...I appreciated that because although the nausea is gone for the most part I am very tired!

All of my bloodwork/labs were also taken at that visit and everything came back beautiful. So as I was not worried anyway, it was still good news!

Found out that the Doctor who is doing our gender/20wk ultrasound does not have DVD capability. I am very disappointed by this. It is such a neat keepsake that we have for Nickolas and I wish we could have it for this Baby too. One friend suggested we bring our video cam and just record the screen. It's a great idea, but we had decided Jack was going to stay home with Nick since there is no good appt times that work with his nap and meal schedule. The office is an hour drive and we heard the Doctor always runs late so we just can't have a fussy baby in the room. Jack would probably end up having to take him out any way and miss it. i don't know. Obviously to record it I would need another person there with me. We'll see.

I guess I will stop for now, because I don't think anyone is following this!

16.5 Weeks!

So my favorite part of pregnancy has arrived! I am beginning to feel the Baby move more and more consistently. I love that feeling-it is right up there with holding your little one in your arms. What a blessing and a miracle God is knitting in my womb.

We had a check up a few weeks ago and heard the little heart beat with the doppler. I have been unable to pick it up myself with the fetascope but I keep trying everyday. At the appt we saw Aubre. She really felt that with the position/size of my uterus and her ease in finding the heartbeat that I am a little further along then I calculated. We'll go with it. It's only 10 days difference.

Our next check up is 8/09/11 and I will supposedly be just over 17 weeks. I am eager to hear the heartbeat again!

Then we see Dr. Hall over at Swedish for the gender ultrasound. This is the only scan we will have done. It is set for 8/31/11 at 1:30pm! I can't tell you how excited I am to find out the gender! And of course to see that everything else is in place and growing. Having the scan done by the Doctor himself rather than a tech, we should get the appt done a little quicker as he will be able to observe and relay findings as we go instead of having to wait to see the Doc for info after. NEAT!

I still have no clue what I am going to do with my office. But I have lost it to a little bundle! God knows I have little time now for computering and with two little ones I'll surely not miss it at all.
